Thirty-seven years old and showing no signs of age, Gerald Levert - son of the O'Jays' Eddie - sings with calm and precision. Sometimes he's the cuckold ("I Got a Girl"), and sometimes he's very much in charge ("Wear It Out"). Either way, he's an authority on sultriness. His delivery is so slick and honest that it reads as supreme confidence, the gift of a man emboldened by the depth of his passion.
