(NEW YORK) - Funk music king George Clinton has signed a recording deal with Atlanta-based Intersound. The still-untitled first album, scheduled for release on Sept. 23, is a two-CD collection of live performances and previously unreleased live tracks of the artist's classic recordings. The songs were culled from the 1996 George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars tour. The first disc offers listeners 67 minutes of continuous music. The second features two new songs, including first single "Ain't Nuthin' But A Jam Y'all," which will be serviced to radio stations Aug. 5.
