Mutiny Records has obtained a fourth, unreleased album from the influential U.K. punk band Generation X.|

On May 19, punk fans can sink their teeth into Sweet Revenge, an album that was recorded by the Billy Idol-fronted punk outfit before their demise in 1981. Gen X released three other albums -- Generation X, Valley of the Dolls and Kiss Me Deadly -- before Idol went on to launch his hugely successful solo career.

Sweet Revenge features 11 unreleased tracks, including "Flash as Hell," "Stars Look Down" and "Revenge." The highlight of the album will no doubt be Idol's mega-hit, "Dancing With Myself," which was first recorded with Generation X but never released to the public.

Gen X came up alongside other punk contemporaries the Sex Pistols, Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Clash, but were often regarded as more commercially driven with a pop edge. In the three years Gen X released albums on Chrysalis they scored hits including "Your Generation," "Ready, Steady, Go" and "Wild Youth." (Ari Bendersky)
