(NEW YORK) - Beggars Banquet will release a two-disc tribute to synthpop pioneer Gary Numan, Random, in June. In addition to Republica, Jesus Jones, the Orb and a duet between Weezer's Matt Sharp and Blur's Damon Albarn, the set will feature techno rock foursome Gravity Kills covering "Poetry And Power." Numan was so impressed with the new version of his tune ("With each thunderous beat, the smile on my face grew wider," he said) that he asked Gravity Kills keyboard player/programmer Doug Firley to produce new material for his next studio album.
