Numan, known for such new-wave hits as "Cars" and "Are Friends Electric?" kicks off the outing May 1 in Philadelphia; backing him will be Switchblade Symphony. Numan's latest set, "The Mix," a collection of his greatest hits remixed by such artists as Information Society, Leather Strip, and Spahn Ranch, will be released April 21 by Cleopatra.
An album of new Numan material, Exile, came out Feb. 10 on Cleopatra, while a song from the set, "Dark," was featured on the soundtrack to the film Dark City. The movie, which starred Keifer Sutherland, William Hurt, and Rufus Sewell, arrived in theaters Feb. 27; the TVT soundtrack album streeted March 3.
