(NEW YORK) - After nearly a decade of musical abstinence, new-wave pioneer Gary Numan will release a solo album Feb. 10 on the L.A.-based Cleopatra label, which specializes in industrial and gothic music.|

Exile finds Numan treading territory between hypnotic synths and hard-edged electronics; the set's first single, "Dead Heaven," has already been sent to radio, but will not be commercially released. Inaddition, the album track "Dark" has been chosen for the soundtrack to "Dark City," a film starring Keifer Sutherland, William Hurt and Rufus Sewell.

The soundtrack, which includes contributions from Echo & the Bunnymen and Course Of Empire, will be released March 3 by TVT. "Dark City" will arrive in theaters Feb. 27.
