(LONDON) - The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors honored Gary Glitter, Frankie Vaughan, Rick Wakeman, Kiki Dee and Eddy Grant at its 23rd annual Gold Badge Awards, presented last week at the Savoy Hotel in London.|

The event, recognizing "a special or lasting contribution to Britain's entertainment industry," was sponsored by mechanicals collection society MCPS. Other recipients included songwriters David Mackay and Tony Hiller, drummer/bandleader Deke Arlon, and veteran promotions man Judd Lander.
