Fuel Make "Selection"

Third album due in September

Pennsylvania alternative rockers Fuel will take a break from their rigorous touring schedule to release their third album, Natural Selection, on September 23rd. The album is the follow-up to the band's double-platinum 2000 release, Something Like Human.

Fuel -- singer/guitarist Brett Scallions, guitarist Carl Bell, bassist Jeff Abercrombie and drummer Kevin Miller, the original lineup since their 1996 EP Porcelain -- enlisted producer Michael Beinhorn (Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson) to record the album, with Bell assisting. The eleven-track Selection includes anthems like "Falls on Me" (the first single) and "Die Like This," as well as "These Things," the first song Bell has written on piano.

Between Human and Selection, Fuel also recorded "Won't Back Down," which appeared on the Daredevil soundtrack earlier this year.

The band is preparing to shoot a video for "Falls on Me" and plotting dates for a fall headlining tour.
