Despite their sexy, sinuous rhythms, these Brits aren't much of a party band. These remixes of songs from their debut wisely avoid tacking on block-rocking beats. But aside from Black Box's elegantly jungle-ized "Positive Tension," Four Tet's Windham Hill take on "So Here We Are" and a handful of other arty interpolations, they don't do much to enhance the spidery guitar lines, desperate incantations and sleek post-punk aura that were pretty well arranged (and more propulsive) the first time around.
