In opposing news, the big summer festivals have a new rival:
Nuttstalk '97. The newest eclectic tour to venture
across US soil, Nuttstalk '97 takes off April 19 at Duke University
in Durham, NC, and hits nearly 30 cities before calling it quits
May 23 at Liberty Lunch in Austin, Texas. The
festival, organized by Fishbone's Norwood Fisher,
features "nutmeg music" and is being touted as a funk-infused
circus that rivals the likes of P-Funk. (AB)
