The hippies are coming! The hippies are coming!! A weekend-long hemp fest is making its way to the Pacific Northwest. The World Hemp Expo Extravaganja, sponsored by High Times magazine, is scheduled to land July 18-20 in Harrisburg, Ore., 20 miles north of Eugene. More than 20,000 people are expected to make the trek to see headliners Fishbone and to take part in workshops led by the likes of Paul Krassner, publisher of The Realist and Jack Herer, author of The Hemp Manifesto. Other bands set to play include Zen Tricksters, Incredible Smoking Bongs and the Cannabis Cup Band, featuring members of Black Uhuru and Skadanks. Cost for the weekend including camping is $40. Non-campers only have to pay $25. (AB)
