Cash really had a willingness to experiment with this album because he thought he would die very soon so he made an album of the human spirit to make what he thought was his finial statement.

This cd reflects a man weathered by the years,like fine wine."Hurt" is without a doubt the best cover Cash has ever done of any song."Personal Jesus" is a great song for believers and skeptics of religion alike.The first track is quite a powerful gospel number.
