Great soundtrack! Really unic with the mainstream show and the "underground" music. The songs match eachother well, and the combination has succeeded in capturing the spirit of the first season of the O.C. I can see Ryan and Marissa's first kiss on the ferrisweel listening to Paint the Silence, and Sandy and Kirsten at a swingersparty on Just a Ride. The songs aren't to much alike even though allmost all of them represent the Punk/Rock genre. Orange Sky can get a little boring, especially after having been on Dawson's Creek as well, and I sort of miss Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah from the season finally, but I guess it didn't fit in to the image. Anyway it's a truely amazing soundtrack, and since season 3 & 4 didn't quite live up to the standards of previous eps, (never the same without Marissa in 4th season), the soundtrack will last, reminding us of the happy inncent OC-days when (almost) noone was on drugs, nobody had died and (almost)no-one were alcoholics.. Long live the wonderfull ignorant days of 2003!
