It looks like constant touring really does pay off because Everclear's So Much For The Afterglow has just been certified gold.|

The album, which was released in the beginning of October 1997, has sold at least 500,000 copies and has been given the official gold rating from the Recording Industry Association of America. Also, their latest single, "I Will Buy You A New Life," has been added to more than 150 playlists at radio stations around the country.

After kicking off the year by performing "Everything to Everyone" on Jan. 6 on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Everclear will go back on the road for another lengthy tour. On Feb. 19, Everclear, along with Jimmie's Chicken Shack and Feeder, will kick off their headlining tour in Sacramento, Calif., at El Dorado Saloon. They'll be out on the road through March 22.
