Album Reviews
Country-folk cult hero Lee Hazlewood is best known for writing Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'," which all of the indie rockers on this baroque tribute are wise enough to avoid. Jarvis Cocker handles "A Cheat" with ease, and Lampchop do "I'm Glad I Never" with reverence; like most of the tracks here, they capture Hazlewood's combination of narcotic somnolence and mysticism.
