Album Reviews
This heap of good times comes from 1969-72, after guitarist Elvin Bishop graduated from the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. As a singer, Bishop got by on hog-calling enthusiasm and the brown sugar of vocalist Jo Baker (along with an unsigned Pointer Sisters on Feel It!). As a bandleader, Bishop just played blues to make you smile. Feel It! is a fat pack of San Francisco-ballroom R&B; Elvin Bishop Group comes with plenty of dirty swinging guitar; and Rock My Soul will rock yours.
