Album Reviews
Dwight Yoakam is one of the few original New Country artists of the '80s who has managed to stay his course and enjoy pretty consistent success on famously conservative country radio. This 17-track live album demonstrates the reason for his longevity. While avoiding country's most tired formulas, Yoakam -- working closely with longtime collaborator Pete Anderson -- has always managed to come up with accessible, credible material. "Dwight Live" is definitely a notch above the usual live album.
