The October release of Astronaut marked the first time the band's original lineup -- singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, guitarist Andy Taylor and bassist John Taylor -- had collaborated since the 1985 "View to a Kill" single. "We were like, 'We can still do this! After fifteen some years! How exciting!'" says Le Bon of the recording process.
Astronaut went on to become the group's highest debut since 1983's Seven and the Ragged Tiger, selling 54,000 to reach Number Seventeen.
The group will also release a live CD/DVD in the spring, featuring the group's final, sold-out show at London's Wembley Arena last May. The discs will draw on Duran Duran's hits, as well as Astronaut material, and include backstage footage and interviews.
