Drowning Pool vs. the Zombie

New single due next year on "Daredevil" soundtrack

Four months after Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams died of heart failure on a tour bus at age thirty, his band mates are back in the studio.

"Either you walk around on crutches all day, or you make yourself better," says drummer Mike Luce. To that end, the hard-rocking band decided to keep its commitment to record a song for the soundtrack to Daredevil, a live-action superhero movie starring Ben Affleck, opening in February.

The group enlisted Rob Zombie to sing on the new track, "Man Without Fear." Next the band members may be looking for a full-time singer. No matter what, they'll still call themselves Drowning Pool. "We've been Drowning Pool since 1996," Luce says. "And we've got the name tattooed all over our bodies."
