DMX, Metallica on Swizz Beatz CD

Eve, Cool J among other collaborators on producer's debut

Posted Mar 07, 2002 12:00 AM

For his debut album, prolific producer Swizz Beatz has enlisted an all-star guest list of musicians for whom he has lent his skills as producer: DMX, Ja Rule, Eve, Jadakiss, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Nas, Lil' Kim, Fat Joe and Noreaga -- to name just a few. Swizzbeatz (a.k.a. Kasseem Dean) has also enlisted Metallica and Ronald Isley to make contributions to G.H.E.T.T.O. Stories, due June 11th on Dreamworks Records.

The nephew of Ruff Ryders' co-CEO's Juaquin and Darrin Dean, Swizz Beatz has helped create the signature sound for a number of the ensemble's alumni. He produced tracks on three of DMX's albums, including his hit "Ruff Ryders Anthem," and also worked on songs for Eve's solo debut, Let There Be Eve, and her latest, last year's Scorpion. His resume also includes scoring Oliver Stone's 1999 film, Any Given Sunday.
