Warrant Issued for DMX's Arrest

DMX in trouble again after failing to show in traffic court

DMX's vehicular woes show no signs of slowing down. Not only did his van get stuck in a snow storm in Cleveland last week, but the Cheektowaga Justice Court in New York issued a warrant for his arrest on Thursday. The rapper, a.k.a. Earl Simmons, is in hot water after failing to appear in traffic court on Wednesday for charges he incurred while outside of Buffalo, N.Y., earlier this month. While Cheektowaga Judge Ronald Kmiotek awaited the rapper's court appearance, DMX was in Houston preparing for a Cash Money/Ruff Ryders gig.

The charges stem from a March 3 arrest as the rapper was leaving a performance in Buffalo. DMX was pulled over for driving 65 m.p.h. in a 50 m.p.h. zone. A search of his car revealed a small quantity of marijuana. He was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, failure to signal, failure to report a change of address to the DMV and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Because the accusations are all misdemeanor charges, the court will most likely wait for DMX to turn himself in, and not extradite him from his tour.
