DMX to Drop DVD

"Angel" to feature mini-movie starring Mary J. Blige

Close on the heels his new album, The Great Depression, debuting at Number One, DMX is preparing to release Angel, a DVD that will feature a quintet of episodes from four years in the life of X.

The collection, to be released December 18th, takes its title from its centerpiece, a mini-movie that will feature a guest appearance by Mary J. Blige. The short film portrays DMX's own rags-to-riches coming of age; Blige shows up as the rapper's guardian angel.

Also featured on Angel will be tour footage from 1998's "Survival of the Illest" tour, "Tales of X" -- a look at 1999's Hard Knock Life tour -- and "One More Road to Cross," a peek at DMX in the studio.

The collection concludes with a montage of videos from prior X releases, as well as "We Right Here" and "Who We Be" from The Great Depression.
