DMX will kick off his Headstock Tour, a series of free performances, in Washington, D.C. on October 12th. The rapper has plotted the promotional outing behind his upcoming album, The Great Depression.

Fans looking to catch DMX on one of the stops will have to work for their free shows. The location, date and times of each show are being kept quiet until the day of the performance, when they will be announced on local radio stations. The tour, which will feature DMX performing outdoors on top of an eighteen-wheeler truck, is scheduled to wrap on November 1st in Atlanta.

The Great Depression, the rapper's fourth album, is due in stores October 23rd; his first release since 1999's And Then There Was X.
