Album Reviews
Director Wes Anderson's worlds have always felt familiar but a little off. To that end, on The Life Aquatic he enlisted Brazilian singer Seu Jorge to deliver a series of acoustic David Bowie covers, sung in Portuguese, that reinvent Seventies glam anthems such as "Rebel Rebel" and "Starman" as laid-back, samba-flecked gems. (If want to hear the genuine article, Aquatic also features Bowie's "Life on Mars?" and "Queen Bitch.")
