Depeche Mode Keep "Angel" on Road

Veteran synth-rockers launch second North American trek this spring

Following their headlining slot at this year's Coachella Valley Music Festival on April 29th, Depeche Mode will launch a North American tour in continued support of their eleventh studio album, Playing the Angel.

The spring trek officially begins April 27th in Mountain View, California, and falls between the synth-rockers' massive European tour, which hits more than twenty-five countries. Los Angeles-based rockers She Wants Revenge will join Depeche Mode as support, while the Bravery are opening across the pond.

The set lists for the tour, dubbed Touring the Angel, have seen Depeche Mode mix new tracks with songs that reach way back into the band's twenty-five-year catalog. "Those songs certainly feel weird when they go up against what we're doing now," frontman David Gahan says of their older hits. "It's like if the Beatles got together and they pulled out 'Love Me Do' up against one of Lennon's later tunes."
