Del Amitri are an underappreciated band who came out of Glasgow in the mid-'80s, and they have met with only moderate commercial success over here. Never trendy, Del Amitri match highly melodic guitar rock with romantic lyrics, often with a decidedly downbeat, heartbroken bent. Grunge they ain't. At their worst, Del Amitri veers dangerously close to bland arena rock, but generally they are much better than that on "Twisted." Among the highlights here are "Food for Songs," "Here and Now," "It Might As Well
