The former Blondie singer's fake-tough-girl act on her solo records proves that Deborah Harry needs her ex-Blondie songwriting partner, Chris Stein, like a fish needs gills. Her only semidecent solo effort, 1989's Def, Dumb & Blonde, wandered out of print, but its one hit, the crisp, driving "I Want That Man," can be found on the otherwise pointless Collection.
