(NEW YORK) - David Byrne has been tapped as the host for the second season of PBS' eclectic music series "Sessions at West 54th." |

The former Talking Head and current multimedia artist/label owner will put his personal and professional knowledge to work in the role, introducing and later interviewing the two featured performers on each hour-long show.

Among this season's scheduled acts: Lou Reed, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Lucinda Williams, Angelique Kidjo and Medeski, Martin & Wood. The series will begin airing in October.
