Byrne To Tour Again

Posted Oct 11, 1997 12:00 AM

Even though he just came off a sold out tour, David Byrne, the energetic former frontman for the Talking Heads, is ready to get in front of audiences again. |

Byrne starts a new tour Monday in Baltimore and will pretty much only hit venues in the southeast region of the United States. He will only be on the road through Nov. 1 to support his most recent release, Feelings, which was recorded on Byrne's label, Luaka Bop, a division of Warner Bros. Singer/songwriter Jim White will join Byrne on the three-week tour.

On Oct. 19, Byrne will take part in the Waveland Festival, a gathering of diverse musical talents in Charleston, S.C. During the day, the festival will light up with the likes of Wilco, the Jayhawks, Ben Folds Five, Son Volt, Junior Brown, Seven Mary Three and Cracker. (Ari Bendersky)
