Courtney gets disorderly, Kanye gets charitable and more

A new misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct has been filed against COURTNEY LOVE stemming from her October 2nd arrest. She already faces felony drug possession charges and misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance . . . KANYE WEST and YOUNG GUNZ will headline the first LIFEBeat Heart and Voices concert on March 11th in New York. The series will benefit the Music Industry Fights AIDS and E.A.R.S. Foundation charities . . . OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist ZAKK WYLDE will release his next album, Hangover Music, Vol. VI, on April 20th . . . STING has lined up another eight North American tour dates to begin June 27th in Camden, New Jersey. ANNIE LENNOX, who bested Sting for a Best Original Song Oscar two weeks ago, will join him for the tour . . .

The FACES' best material will be compiled onto the four-CD box set Five Guys Walk Into a Bar, due May 25th from Rhino . . . STEREOPHONICS are offering a six-song live EP for sale through the iTunes Music Store. The group will tour this summer with DAVID BOWIE, starting May 5th in Tampa . . . TOUSSAINT McCALL, BILLY BOY ARNOLD, BOBBY CHARLES and FILLMORE SLIM are among the artists set to perform at the third annual Ponderosa Stomp Roots Romp, set for April 27th and 28th in New Orleans . . . JANET JACKSON will make her return to live television with an April 10th appearance as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The show will be Jackson's first network television appearance since her infamous breast-baring appearance during the halftime show at the Super Bowl on February 1st. Jackson, supporting her March 30th release Damita Jo, appeared on SNL as a musical guest in 1994, but has never hosted . . .

CHRISTINA AGUILERA begins a twenty-nine-date tour on May 13th in Seattle with CHINGY opening . . . JAMES BROWN, LOS LOBOS, ROBERT RANDOLPH, LUCINDA WILLIAMS and KEB' MO' will perform at the Doheny Heritage Music Festival, set for May 22-23 in Dana Point, California . . . The LIBERTINES will headline the Love Music Hate Racism benefit concert in London on March 16th. The show will also feature the BUZZCOCKS and the OTHERS. . . German industrial metal men EINSTURZENDE NEUBAUTEN begin a fifteen-date North American tour on April 23rd in Washington, D.C. . . . SMOG kick off a nine-date U.S. tour on April 7th in Houston . . . A.F.I. had to cancel the ten remaining dates on their spring tour after singer DAVEY HAVOK suffered a vocal chord injury . . .
