But Stanton Moore, a friend of Corrosion singer-guitarist Pepper Keenan -- and the man who keeps the thump for New Orleans funketeers Galactic -- earns his John Bonham stripes moonlighting on CoC's first studio album in five years. Moore won't be touring with the band, but the jazzy dynamics he brings to this Dixie-Black Flag blitzkrieg makes you wish he would.
