The Atlanta-Ga.,-based rock outfit recently entered Criterion Studios in Miami to begin recording Dosage, the follow-up to the hugely successful Disciplined Breakdown. The album is being self produced and singer Ed Roland has once again written all the songs on the album.
"The songs remain pop oriented," Roland said of the new material last December. "We like melodic structure and melodic songs, but we're experimenting more with different non-traditional sounds." The band wouldn't reveal much more information other than Dosage is expected to be released in August.
Collective Soul's last album, Disciplined Breakdown,
which was released in March of 1997, has sold nearly one million
albums and produced two No. 1 singles, "Blame" and "Listen." (Ari
