Biography

The Classics IV made several major soft-pop hits, including "Spooky" (#3, 1968), "Stormy" (#5, 1968), and "Traces" (#2, 1969), featuring lead vocalist Dennis Yost. J.R. Cobb, producer/writer Buddy Buie, and Dean Daughtry went on to studio work and in 1974 formed the Atlanta Rhythm Section [see entry].
