Hold Me to This: Christopher O'Riley Plays Radiohead
2005
The classically trained O'Riley has made a mini-franchise out of covering England's biggest band -- this is his second disc of Radiohead -- but for the record, Brad Mehldau beat him by five years. O'Riley delivers complex, Carnegie Hall versions of tracks such as "Paranoid Android," but nothing here is as emotionally colorful as the originals, and at its worst this disc veers into pure syrup. Suggestion: Try Coldplay.
