The most distinguishing feature of one-time Ludacris protege Chingy could be that he smiles a lot. The moderately gifted St. Louis rapper has made the most of his boyish good looks, cutting two albums of gimmicky radio rap. His third album promises more of the same: some rougher songs for the guys, a lot of fluffy ones for the girls ("Dem Jeans") and (like his 2004 hit "Right Thurr") countless instances of his proudly exotic St. Louis accent ("Ass N Da Aurr," "Nike Aurrs and Crispy Tees"). Chingy is the least interesting part of his own songs -- he's upstaged by Tyrese's smoothness on the lovestruck ode "Pullin' Me Back," and he finds himself severely outmuscled by Three 6 Mafia on the otherwise sinister "Club Getting Crowded." Looks like this hood star is the odd man out.

Chingy is yet another corporate product that has been unleashed on the masses of idiots who think that this type of radio-play rap garbage is cool. I don't buy this crap, and neither should you. This isn't hip-hop. Hip-hop is bleeding because of clowns like this. If you want to pretend that this is substance, that crap like this matters...you're only fooling yourself.

Seriously, come on people. Chingy's song "Pullin' Me Back". What is it you like about it? The generic lyrics or the amazing song behind it? Problem is that the song was originally recorded in 1973 by a man name Jaco Pastorius, also known as the best bass player that ever lived. Chingy may have gotten permission to use the song, but that doesn't make it right. What ever happened to the integrity of music?
