"I just want to stay home and do my housework!" shout the Chicks on "The Household Song." Who knew that feminist avant-dance-pop trios from Berlin could be this much fun? The Chicks' bleepy techno distortions frequently sound like a radio dropped in the bathtub, but hooks like the plucky, surf's-up bass line in "Mitte Bitte" have serious B-52's-style appeal. And for all the sloganeering, Press the Spacebar never forgets that it's a dance album.
