Posted Apr 25, 2002 12:00 AM

Bryan Adams is contributing several new songs -- including "Don't Let Go," a duet with fellow Canadian Sarah McLachlan -- to the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack, which is due out May 14th on DreamWorks Records. The animated film, featuring narration by actor Matt Damon, will be in theaters May 24th.

On May 18th, as part of a screening of the film at the Cannes Film Festival, Adams will perform live along with Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer, who wrote the score for Spirit. An HBO special on the making of the film and soundtrack will premiere on the day of the album's release, and Adams will make appearances on The Tonight Show and The Today Show on May 20th and May 24th, respectively.

Adams' past soundtrack work has earned him three Oscar nominations for his songs "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" and "I've Finally Found Someone."
