Late yesterday JAMTV heard a rumor that the remaining dates on the Furthur Festival were canceled. So when we called Dennis McNally, publicist for Grateful Dead Management, he had this to say on the phone from the Furthur Fest in Cincinnati: "Tell your source to get a life. Passing along gossip like that, which is wholly horseshit, is ugly, stupid and wastes your time and mine. So the answer to your question is no - it's flat horseshit." Well, if there was ever a rumor to get squelched pretty fast, that is the one.

In any case, tune in this Saturday, July 19 as JAMTV webcasts Ratdog, Bruce Hornsby, Mickey Hart, Jorma Kaukonen, moe., Sherri Jackson, Arlo Guthrie and the Black Crowes live from the Furthur Festival at Chicago's World Theater. In addition to the above artists, Robert Hunter was just added to the lineup starting at Alpine Valley July 18. Hunter will play a slew of dates through the end of the tour. (AB)
