This L.A. hard-rock supergroup, driven by Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx and L.A. Guns axman Tracii Guns, waxes nostalgic in a good way. On tracks such as "Shut the F**k Up," the Brides marry garage rock with live-wire riffage that recalls vintage Crue, circa 1982. Singer London Le Grand works a fine Bowie-Axl yowl, but he mostly gets points for his great porn-metal name. Throughout, Brides show today's whippersnappers how to deliver real cock-rock shock - even the de rigueur power ballad "Only Get So Far" has cojones.
