Musical mastermind Brian Wilson is planning a return to the Sunset Strip for two gigs where he will record an album of live material to help debut his new, official Web site.

The former Beach Boy is scheduled to appear at Los Angeles' Roxy Theater on April 7 and 8. According to Wilson's management, the songwriting legend was led to book the stint after thoroughly enjoying his return to that venue last year.

Playing with his twelve-piece band, which includes members of L.A. band the Wondermints, Wilson will debut some new songs as well as perform material he showcased on his 1999 tour, including a performance at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit in November. The limited edition CD culled from the upcoming shows will be released through BrianWilson.com, the domain name his management recently acquired from a private party that had been using it for purposes unaffiliated with the artist. The official BrianWilson.com is tentatively scheduled to debut the weekend of the performances.

Tickets for the special gigs will cost $37 and are limited to a capacity of 500 a night. They go on sale March 4 at 10 a.m. at the Roxy Theater box office and through TicketMaster.
