Breaking Benjamin's second album draws on the usual post-grunge touchstones: overdriven guitars and tortured singing. There's a cameo from Billy Corgan, but Breaking Benjamin distinguish themselves from their peers only because their Nickelback-ish choruses are full of hopeful platitudes rather than heroic melancholia.
