Brandy gave birth to a baby girl on June 16th. She and father, producer Robert Smith, named their daughter Sy'rai.

The delivery came two days before Brandy's MTV reality series Diary Presents: Brandy -- Special Delivery premiered. The show was expected to run until the delivery itself, and its four to five episodes will still air as scheduled.

The twenty-three-year-old singer and star of TV's Moesha announced that she was pregnant last February, less than two weeks after announcing that she had secretly married Smith last summer. Brandy's latest album Full Moon -- her first since 1998's Never Say Never -- was released in March.
