Bet you didn't notice, but Bon Jovi had a Number One country hit last year. The Jersey boys remade "Who Says You Can't Go Home" as a duet with the great Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and watched it turn into a much bigger hit than the rock version. Which means it's time for a full-on Bon Jovi country album, right? Right. Lost Highway moves in on Nashville as shrewdly as "It's My Life" skimmed Stockholm seven years ago – never one to go halfway, Jon even wails about his "plastic dashboard Jesus" in the title tune. There are duets with LeAnn Rimes ("Stranger") and Big and Rich ("We Got It Going On"), but the keepers are Bon Jovi corn about cars and girls, especially "I Love This Town," a sequel to "Wild in the Streets."

They are older than yesterday, they are bigger than yesterday, they are number one again like yesterday!!!GREAT ROCK-POP-COUNTRY-FOLK ALBUM, great songs don't have style.
Bon jovi should be on the cover, not GnR!!

Ok, first and foremost I have questions. What type of music did Bon Jovi break out in the '80s as? (Rock) What type of music did all of their album rotate around? (Rock) What type of music does this "Lost Highway" album remind us of? (Country) What question/answer does not belong?
If you ask me, yes they are seeking a bigger audience but to only lose a huge fanbase on which they have already built. What happened to staying true to what brought you? I just can't understand how one band goes in 5 years from the "Bounce" cd (2002) with mostly rock/pop to "Have a Nice Day" (2005) with pop/rock to "Lost Highway" with country. Once again, which one of the three dont belong? I guess that money is the soul object as loyality steps aside.
Ok, I will give them that they matured, hell they matured on the "Crush" cd but still rocked and showed it as it put them back on the scene.
But what do I know, I am just stating facts. I just have two words: COUNTRY SUCKS!!!

This is bye far the best Bon Jovi album since the 80's. I cannont take it out of my CD player, its been a while since I heard an album that takes me back and makes me feel like there is still hope for rock music. although it does have a country feel it is very moving, thanks BJ!!!!!

I was impressed with this album. Yes, on some songs there is a country feel, but lately there is a fine line between country and rock. Listen to Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Sugarland, Jason Aldean, and other country artists and you will see what I am talking about. Chris Cagle did a cover of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive" on one of his CD's. Speaking of that song, or the entire "Young Guns" soundtrack, I didn't hear any complaints of Bon Jovi 'going country' back then. And those songs are far more country than anything on "Lost Highway." This is a great album and I am glad I have added it to my collection.

The RS critic needs to get his facts straight before writing a review. Yes, this CD was recorded in Nashville, but Jon Bon Jovi has repeatedly said that it is NOT a country album. Shame on those of you who accused BJ of selling out. This is a fantastic rock album that I would recommend to anyone. It's probably their best album since the 80s!

I am a die hard Bon Jovi fan and I think this is a great album. It just shows that they are more mature and versatile. Keep up the great music.
