Bobby Brown, who was jailed last Friday after pleading guilty to a 1996 drunken driving charge, was admitted to a hospital in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Brown was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after complaining of an undisclosed ailment. The thirty-three-year-old singer had been sentenced to eight days in prison but was to be released three days early for good behavior, and therefore will not have to return to the DeKalb County Jail. Brown was also ordered to perform 240 hours of community service and pay $2,600 in fines as part of his sentence.

Brown faces other charges in Georgia stemming from a November arrest for possession of marijuana, speeding and having no driver's license or proof of insurance.
