Blur's Damon Albarn is the latest British pop artist to get political and speak in front of Parliament.|

On Feb. 25, Albarn will be one of the lobbyists to go before Parliament to speak out against the British government's proposed abolishment of student grants. England wants to introduce tuition fees and have people start paying for their education.

Albarn has not been shy about voicing his opinion in the past. NME repoted that he said: "Abolishing grants and imposing tuition fees means that people from the poorest backgrounds will leave education with huge debts and many more will be deterred from becoming students. It's all very well saying that people who benefit from education should pay for it, but everyone benefits from a well-educated population just like they benefit from the health service."
