Promoters for the show, Bravo Entertainment, had received information collected by the local police chief that detailed problems other cities had with the band's conduct. The promoters requested that the band forgo the portions of their live show that were in violation with local laws as an addendum to the band's performance contract.
At issue were instances when the band repeatedly paid fans to expose themselves, vomit, defecate and urinate on stage. One fan was arrested for his instance of indecent exposure in Fargo, N.D., Nov. 13. Idaho state law, however, prohibits the exposure (or even inciting the exposure) of the genital area as well as the extrication of bodily fluids in public. Though it wasn't necessarily against the law, the venue also asked the band to refrain from setting their equipment on fire.
According to a statement issued by band management, the Bloodhound Gang "decided to cancel this date rather than conform to the community's conservative standards by compromising their integrity and level of entertainment in their live shows."
Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase.
