Album Reviews
Guitarist Zakk Wylde has served as Ozzy Osbourne's sideman for nearly two decades -- long enough that his new album with longtime backing band Black Label Society sounds like a series of outtakes from a latter-day Ozzy solo album. Photos of skulls, cigar-smoking nuns and numerous devils on the liner notes suggest a take-no-prisoners thrash-metal album -- but half the songs are middle-of-the-road, synth-fueled, pop-metal mush.
