For 2003's multiplatinum Elephunk, the Black Eyed Peas recruited sexy crooner Fergie and ditched ponderous rhymes in favor of smooth hooks, transforming themselves from the world's most boring rap group to hip-hop's brightest popsters. Monkey Business is just as bright if not quite as fun as Elephunk, calling in Justin Timberlake, James Brown and Sting for a series of party-starters and hijacking Dick Dale's "Miserlou" for the opening "Pump It." Some cuts are dragged down by soul-pop cliches, but "Don't Lie" is a breezy, grooving romantic apology starring MC Will.i.am, and "My Humps" is an irresistible, butt-stupid ode to Fergie's ass. If anything, Business is too breezy -- but from a group that once burdened us with rhymes about how its "technicalities die hard like battery," that's not such a bad thing.

Generally a good album with decent beats and catchy rhymes! A great collaboration bewteen BEP and Jack Johnson on 'Gone Going'!
However i don't believe there is one track on the album which sums up their potential which is a shame from such a talented goup! still though a fun album!

I thought this was an actual decent album at first, but after a few listens, I realized how bad more than half the tracks were, and just how bad they were that they would actually bring down the better tracks like "Don't Phunk with My Heart" and "Disco Club." "My Humps" is iressistible but a very embaressing rap for Fergie including rhymes of humps and lady lumps repeated 9 times. Justin Timberlake is once again featured on here on the Timbaland-produced track "My Style." Timbaland can do way better than this. But so call Will.i.am.

The opening of MONKEY BUISNESS is "Pump It" which is incredibly addictive and has more power and flavor than other tracks on the album, like "Don't Phunk with my Heart." Altough, all tracks have catchy verses or chrouses and it's very similar to the production of Cassie's -Me and U-. Still, other tracks like -Ba Bump- doesn't have much fire as tracks such as -My Humps- and the soulful -Don't Lie-, and that really causes a problem for a group who puts more work into some tracks while others stay on the sidelines.
