(NEW YORK) - The first release under Bette Midler's 3-year-old deal with Warner Bros. Records will arrive next month.

Bathhouse Betty, due Sept. 15, features Midler on a range of covers and new ballads and pop tracks. Included are Ben Folds Five's "Boxing," Leonard Cohen's "Song Of Bernadette," and the Honey Cone hit "One Monkey Don't Stop No Show," on which Midler is backed by the Royal Crown Revue.

The first single, "My One True Friend," was written by David Foster, Carole King and Carole Bayer Sager; it will also serve as the end-credit track to the fall Universal movie One True Thing.

Producers on the album include Foster, Arif Mardin, Ted Templeman, Marc Shaiman, Chuckii Booker and Brock Walsh. Before signing to Warner Bros., Midler spent more than two decades at Atlantic.
