From Utterly Derivative/Seventies Hard-Rock Division come Bad Wizard. This band of Brooklynites wants you to believe that being a citizen of the hypertext present and ripping off old heavy metal is inherently brilliant. On Sophisticated Mouth, it does a passable job: lardy riffs, totally dumb guitar leads, boogie rhythms, a hoarse singer who sounds twenty-three going on seventy.
